In this author’s second book, Rob Granger once again teams up with Kevin Robinson, the lead scientist on an earlier expedition to the Congo. This time, their mission is to visit Mount Saint Helens – a volcano in the USA. One purpose of their trip is to investigate evidence which seems to contradict the teaching of geology in school classrooms. As the team begin their quest, things start to go badly wrong and it would appear that there are some who want to disrupt their work. However, is this for the sake of the work itself, or is there a more sinister explanation? Unfortunately for Rob, his problems do not end when he returns to the UK and finds himself plunged into a desperate countrywide search for someone close to him.
